Research and Evaluation

PHMC's Research and Evaluation component, in existence since 1977, offers a broad range of services related to health services research including:

  • Program evaluation
  • Community assessment
  • Outcomes measurement training and technical assistance
Staff have diverse backgrounds in the social sciences, public health, social policy, and law. The services provided include:
  • Data base development
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Data collection including telephone, mail, and in-person surveys, existing records review, focus groups, key informant interviews and observational studies
  • Study design and program implementation
  • Data analysis, report writing, proposal development and writing

Projects have a diverse funding base, including federal, state, and local governments, local and national foundations and private clients. At any point in time there are approximately 15-20 projects occurring, ranging in duration from several months to 3-5 years.
