Resources for Children's Health

Resources for Children’s Health (RCH) is a non-profit
501 (c)(3) agency that promotes positive parenting, healthy pregnancies, and the health and well-being of children and families. RCH was founded in 1985 in response to the high rate of infant mortality in Philadelphia, and began providing community outreach to educate young parents about pregnancy, perinatal and well-baby care. Over time, the agency expanded its mission to focus on parenting, providing parents with the information, skills and resources they need to raise healthy and happy children. In support of its mission, RCH provides collaborative, community-based services to support parents in their efforts to develop and sustain an active and positive parenting role. Services include:

  • Home-based case management for parents of infants and toddlers
  • Nursing and social services for families of children with special health care needs
  • Parenting education classes, case management and supportive services for fathers and male caregivers
  • Fiscal and program monitoring for more than 60 agencies conducting parenting education throughout Philadelphia
