Asian Health Projects

Asian Health Projects is committed to empowering Asian Americans through improved access to health care, health information, and communication between health care providers and Asian consumers. The Asian Health Projects provide easy-to-read health education materials in selected Asian Languages. They also provide health education programs focusing on hypertension, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, women's health, tobacco control, and breast health.

Through a grant from the Susan G. Koman Foundation, the Asian Health Projects has provided breast health information, support services, and mammogram referrals for Chinese, Cambodian, Korean, Indonesian, and Vietnamese women. Since 2002, over 1000 women have received mammograms, and 14 women have been diagnosed with cancer and were connected to immediate medical treatment.
