PART TIME TEMPORARY INTERVIEWER



The Interviewer will recruit and interview high-risk populations at identified venues and designated streets throughout the city.  The candidates must have experience in HIV/AIDS counseling and testing procedures and be certified in HIV testing.  The individual will work in a team and follow the project protocol to identify community stakeholders, perform street intercepts surveys, conduct observations, and recruit and interview clients in designated areas in the city.  The interviewer will report directly to the Project Coordinator and will provide status reports to the Field coordinator on a daily basis. This is a temporary position during the research cycle.  The interviewer will work approximately 25 to 32 hours a week from Mid-March through December 2013.  Most of the interviewing occurs during the day but some evening hours are required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identifying and interviewing community stakeholders and venue owners.  
• Assisting team members with the compilation of area venues/ businesses that will be utilize to recruit and interview clientele.  
• Interviewing identified high-risk populations using a hand-held computer or PDA.
• Performing HIV counseling and testing
• Referring individual to follow-up care 



SKILL REQUIREMENT: 
• CERTIFIED in HIV testing and counseling with a PA state counselor identification number required
• Spanish speaking preferred



EXPERIENCE:
• Previous work experience interviewing in the community, previous medical and or social service employment, HIV testing and counseling experience.
• Microsoft Office software



EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
BS/BA with experience in medical, social, or behavioral health areas
