PHMC affiliate Metropolitan Career Center, a workforce development organization providing job readiness, and its career school program called Computer Technology Institute have both received new names. They will now be known as The Workforce Institute and The Workforce Institute’s City College (City College), respectively, to better reflect services provided.

The Workforce Institute has a 40-year legacy of educating, training and placing individuals with limited access to such educational opportunities with resources to meet employers’ changing workforce needs. The organization does this through a continuum of services including workforce development, job readiness, job placement and job retention services.

City College has a nearly 20-year history of offering, associate’s degree programs and certifications in Information Technology and Health Information Technology. City College assists graduates with job placement and supportive services for two years following graduation.
