PersonLink’s restorative justice supports coordination program works towards a more equitable criminal justice system to help individuals with an intellectual disability (ID) transition out of criminal justice system into more socially valued roles.

This symposium is scheduled for Monday, February 28 in the PHMC Conference Center at 1500 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.

Join members of PHMC and PersonLink in a discussion on criminal justice and law enforcement engagement issues within the intellectual and developmental disabilities communities. The keynote speaker is Dr. Karyn Harvey on a trauma-informed care approach to working with individuals with ID both programmatically and clinically. The agenda includes discussions on a wide array of topics including the “school to prison pipeline,” individuals with disabilities committing crimes, and the work that PersonLink does pertaining to restorative justice. Criminal justice thought leaders and educators from Drexel University and other institutions will be presenting, along with representatives from across PHMC.
