Study Shows Many SEPA Residents
Lack Healthy Lifestyles

Think you're not getting enough exercise or fresh fruits and vegetables? You're not alone. PHMC's Community Health Data Base (CHDB) 2008 Household Health Survey shows that many Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) residents do not receive sufficient exercise and fresh produce.

In March, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that Pennsylvania will receive $9.4 million in stimulus funds for community health centers, of which PHMC health centers will receive $242,715 over the next two years.

On Saturday, March 7, Students Run Philly Style, a program of PHMC affiliate National Nursing Centers Consortium, began its fifth running season with its 2009 Kick-Off event.
