PHMC runs more than 250 programs providing direct resources and care to thousands of individuals and communities across the region. In addition to running its own programs, PHMC is the parent company to smaller nonprofits, called PHMC Affiliates. PHMC and its affiliates offer a broad array of programs spanning behavioral health/recovery, nurse-managed primary care, chronic disease management and prevention, tobacco control, obesity prevention, early intervention, HIV/AIDS, violence intervention, homeless health services, parenting supports for families, and much more, plus the research and evaluation that allow us to assess and target health issues effectively.

Programs

The PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar is an innovative and integrated public health campus designed to serve the West and Southwest Philadelphia community. Formerly known as Mercy Catholic Medical Center, the facility is being transitioned by PHMC and its coalition partners Penn Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Independence Blue Cross Foundation into a 21st century health and wellness hub.
